Gaming Juggling Balls! (ft Sonic, Mario, and Link)

Christmas time!!! time for me to make presents for everyone, or say I'm going to make presents for too many people and disappoint half the people on my list lol.  First on my list that I finished: My boyfriend ^-^

To explain, my boyfriend knows how to juggle ( I know, isn't that AWESOME!!!) and he's a gamer (I know, isn't that cool!!!).  I knew I wanted to make him a set of juggling balls, but I could decide on the color or how i was going to stuff them.  I was talking to some of my friends at school about what I was planning, and another gamer friend of mine said I should make a Sonic, Mario, and Link.  So here they are!!
The first one I finished was Sonic the Hedgehog.  I I had a pretty good idea about how to make him into a juggling ball.
This is the side.  I like how the eyes turned out ^-^
This is the back, showing the spines.  they were relatively easy to make
 It'sa me, Mario!!
My brother gave me the idea of  having the hat cover the eyes.  I just finished the hat when he walked in, so I showed him him how it fits on the ball.  I like how this one turned out, though I was nervous it wouldn't look right.  Both Mario and Link I didn't know how to do the hair or hats.
Link.  He comes to town.  Comes to save the Princess Zelda.
Yeah, his eyes are kinda buggy, they're based off toon Link's eyes, and his hair looks funny in this picture...
His hat.  I restarted this part so many times because it wasn't making a cone like i wanted it too.  It was either too long by the time it could cover his head, or it didn't cover his head at all.
But here they are, and I think they look great!

Now a proper Pokeball!!

Awhile ago, I posted a ink and purple pokeball, that i made, with those colors because I didnt' have any white, and barely any red or black.  I did some stock of my yarn recently, and noticed I have more than enough red, black, and white, so I thought id give my pokeball and second chance, see if the pattern I made needed any changing, minor adjustments

This is kind of a size gauge type picture.

Again, sorry about the serious lack of posting lately, I'm a full time Biology student and am currently taking Biology, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and Critical Thinking.  I'm enjoying all these classes, but I'm constantly doing homework. I'm happy I got enough free time to make this, lol ^-^

just an update, no pictures, sorry

Ok, so, with school started, and having a full schedule at school, where I'm there from 8 in the morning to 8 at night, most days, I barely have enough time to do any crocheting, much less post new things I have made, because small things are quick and easy.  I don't know if I have any followers, or what not, probably not, but I do have over 100 views, and I'd like to thank everyone who has checked out this blog, since I haven't posted anything since August, you viewers probably stumbled on this.  For awhile, I had more views from Russia than my home country of USA.

Now, America was way surpassed, but I still get new views from Germany, Malaysia, Korea, and Australia.  Thank you so much!  I know it's not that big of a deal, just 100 views, especially since they're from Google searches and stumble-upon, I never thought I'd get someone from Korea or Germany, or even England seeing my blog.

Now for the update part I guess.  I have made somethings, like a pillow for the first time, which wasn't that hard, but patterns from Red Saver yarn is kinda hard to understand clearly.  I had to restart a few times.  I'm currently working on the blanket that comes with the pillow, my first full sized blanket.  I started to make a poncho for my sister, but I messed up over half of it, and I don't feel like restarting that again, so I'm waiting for more time.  I made a sock, and an arm sleeve, just one, not a pair, guess I'm trying to be Michael Jackson (like everyone knows who that was.... way to alienate your audience you don't have),  and a bunny for my cousin, who was having a bad day.  I made a "anti" pikachu, meaning a pikachu that's black where it's supposed to be yellow, and yellow where it's supposed to not be, and red cheeks, which he always has.  I'll get pictures of that soon, as soon as I get them from my friend I made it for.  I also perfected my bulbasuar and squirtle, so they look better, and will soon have them on my etsy site.  If you're curious about what else I'm selling there, here's a link: http://www.etsy.com/shop/fuchsiagorrila32

Thank you again for reading my blog, even if it's just one page, or just looking at the pictures. Please give me some feedback if you can ^-^ I'll write again when I have more time, and don't have to sleep lol.

The very fisrt!

As the title suggest, this was the first headband I made.  I got the pattern from http://crochetdreamz.blogspot.com/2011/07/baby-headband-with-flowers-free-crochet.html#.UCMA25H4Ous
The band and the daisies are form the same pattern

Pretty, no?

Let's see.... obvious Portal joke, or not so obvisous....

THE CAKE IS A LIE!!! I just didn't want the obvious joke to be the title, but I had to put it somewhere.
This was the beginning of the increase/decrease method I developed for large headbands.  I'm very proud with how the Aperture symbol came out.
The band is orange, because Chell's jumpsuit is orange.  Wanted to get that answered now, cause I have had people ask me.
*Aperture Science, we do what we must, because, we can.  For the good of all of us, except the ones who are dead.*

Headband FAIL!!!

Here it is. The failed headband that I made for my sister.
Can you see what's wrong?  Hint: my sister is a fan of the playboy bunny symbol. See it now?  Yeah, this looks nothing like the playboy bunny...bunny....
The band looks... nice.....

OOOOO!! different colors!!

This idea came out of the serious abundance of hot pink yarn I have, and the serious lack of me wanting to use it, but knowing that my sister would like some pink things.  I tried making another headband for her, which failed (but that's another post), so I made her this one.
Basic black band, not as think as the others, and the same rose.
I made one with hot pink
 dark purple (for me)
and red (for my best friend)

CROCHET NO JUTSU!!!

If you haven't realized yet, I am a anime fan.  And there was a time I watched Naruto, possibly the most popular anime in America at the moment.  Well, it's not as popular as it was, but more people are watching than people who are watching my favorite anime.
It actually wasn't that hard to make the Hidden Leaf symbol, surprisingly.  It was harder to make the music note for the sound ninja headband I made for my boyfriend, which I will post as soon as I get pictures.
This is how most ninja wear them; the one above is how one of the characters wears hers.
This is a tie kind of headband, because it's so thick that it doesn't fit me right in normal headband.. ness... though it is a tie headband in the show, I just don't know how to replecate that...sooo....  This works for me ^-^

Why can't I make good titles about headbands!!?!

And now! More headbands!!! Yeah, my step mom mentioned that headbands were becoming all the rage, and maybe i could sell a few..... and now I can't stop making them.  That's all I made in the last week, and I've made more than 10!  There was a slight lull in making them, because I ran out of ideas, then I thought of more, and you'll see those in a sec.  On to the real topic for this post!
This one, even though it's made the same way as the last two, this is isn't as large.
the yarn is called "plum wine", which I just liked the name
This one is a pink. same exact yarn type, made the same way, different color.

Pretty Flower Headband ^-^

This is the same headband style as the last one, just with a rose added, which i go the pattern for the rose from  http://freepatternsdonnascrochetdesigns.com/rose-bench-decoration-free-crochet-pattern.html
I put the flower a little more off center than intended, but it looks good ^-^
I am selling these on my etsy, which can be found at https://www.etsy.com/listing/106337932/large-headband-with-a-rose  or just look for fuchsiagorrila32

umm.... Headbands? Hey, I can't be clever with my titles all time!

So, this is basically a normal headband, about 3 inches wide, not much to say about it.
It narrows in the back of the neck, which I did by starting w/ increases and ending with decreases.  I actually thought of it my self ^-^

Sora No Otoshimono... my guilty plesure....

So, there's this anime I watch (actually, I've been reading the manga, but same diff), called Sora No Otoshimono, translated as Heaven's Lost Property.  It's a story of a boy named Tomoki, who is the most perverted person in the world.  Ever.  Did I mention it's an ecchi title? (meaning sexual humor is abundant).  Did I mention this is my least favorite genre of anime?  I'm not sure why I love this show so much, but I do.  Any ways, the main love interest, who is an angeloid (an android that looks like an angel) is named Ikaros.  She looks like this:

She is my favorite character, because she's adorable, selfless, and doesn't understand the real world, much to Tomoki's dismay. He actually acts somewhat modest around her.  So I've set my goals on some day cosplaying as her.  I have the out fit, I just need the chain, the pink hair, and the ear things replacing human ears- Oh wait...

Ta-Dah!  I crocheted a pair of my own!
I made the band pink to match the hair, which I'll buy the wig when I get the chance
I'm really proud of how it came out ^-^
